A spider, the size of a tarantula was sitting proudly in the middle of it's domain.
I am no fan of spiders, but it is the beauty of the woven lines that this spider makes,I see the spiders
perfection. I close my eyes and realize how we are so small in something that is bigger than we will ever come to know.
This spider and its web holds just as much beauty as this rose does.
My joy is fleeting at the site of this web of perfection
because I see the destruction another co-worker has done. They decided to take a can of 3-M glue and sprayed the web and the spider. My heart feels the pain at what they did. Does man know no limits to destruction of what is beautiful?

Our House
Our House
This world is our house
We live under one roof
one heartbeat
one breath
one laughter
one tear
one death
Ah, the foolishness of humans!
ReplyDeleteHey Rosaria, Lord knows I'm not perfect and there are times I do foolish things. I just couldn't understand what purpose it served for her to spray it with glue.
DeleteI feel sad at how humans use their power in instances like this.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth, is that what it is? the power? Like I said Lord knows I'm not perfect and no I'm not that upset at her. I think I would have rather placed the spider back in the woods than killed it.
DeleteGreat song. I love how the audience comes in. "forgive them. they know not what they do."
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, Yes I have always liked this song. We always like to see our house as the walls and windows that surround us but really our house is this world where there is no walls, only trees, the sky, the land and water.
DeleteYes I do forgive her because sometimes we are just not sure how to react to when we see something that is scary to some of us. I'm no fan of spiders but I'm ok with them as long as they are not bothering anyone.
Great song, Thanks!
How is your son doing in school?
