On a daily basis my head is playing three different songs.  Lately I have had some odd ones in my head and it's certainly interesting combination.  These are the three

Villa Lobos

I just got done reading the first book to Fifty Shades of Grey.  There are times when I need to listen to music like this.   It puts me in a different frame of mind and lets me appreciate my love for all music.
Villa Lobos is a great composer that has put together pieces of music that truly need to be heard.  I hope people take the time to explore music that is not their normal genre and find themselves lost in the moment this music takes you too.

But like I said my head is also playing at the same time this song.  I love Ludacris for his rap music and it's being played at my gym during Zumba class. The song is now stuck in my head.

Third song seems to keep changing.  I'm either having this song in my head by Maroon 5 - One More Night. I would love to choreography the dance moves for this song.  I feel like they are going back in forth dancing at close range with their bodies,but never once touching each other. 

The other song is by Needtobreathe -Washed by the Water

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one that has more than one song playing in their head?

Love this group and Will.i.am!! 

Lately I have been feeling down about how my diet has been going but hearing this song has me wanting to keep trying..
Great inspiring song that has me wanting to not give in to my problems. 

Will. I. AM  is the head singer for Black Eye Peas.  I always love what this man has to sing about. So far I love this group called The Script too. I have a few of their songs already.

Back to School

Since today was the start of a new year of classes for Shoes.  I figure he would appreciate this song. 

I seriously can't believe I never saw this show!! 

But of course the only song that most kids are playing is this one.  

( I will admit I was not a great student growing up but now that I went to college, some of my teachers I can't thank enough for having them as my teacher. )                                                                         

Beach Boys Concert

I did mention back in July that I ended up at a Beach Boys concert while on vacation. I kind of got side track since then with other concerts, so I have not got back to post about getting to see them until now. I love that these guys are still performing. You get people of all ages at these kinds of shows and the fans show up dressed in their Hawaiian shirts!  This was their 50th anniversary tour and to sing a couple of songs from their new album, so it was a time to re-live the past and to celebrate they still have what it takes. During the show they did a nice tribute to two of the group members that are no longer with them , Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson.

Who are the original band members?
Brian Wilson, 1942-, Dennis Wilson, 1944-83, and Carl Wilson, 1946-98, with Mike Love, 1941-, and Alan Jardine, 1942-.

Joining them to play in the band is David Marks and Bruce Johnston

Former members include Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar
Former touring members include Glen Campbell, Daryl Dragon, Mike Kowalski, Carli Munoz and Toni Tennille

I was able to video them singing one of their new songs from their new album.

Right now I am having trouble posting.  My post format is not working right.  My tool bar has very little options on it, so there is no way to post video or pictures. I don't even have a spellcheck button.  I'm not sure why it's doing this but I hope I can figure it out soon. 

NeedtoBreathe

World Pulse Festival people....  WPF     This festival is nationally televised so there are camera crews everywhere...

1000's of people come from all over every year to hear Christian music and it's right here in my own backyard of Indiana.  This is where I have seen artist like Micheal W Smith, Curtis Chapman , MercyMe , Third Day, and Jars of Clay

This year I came to see the last two acts.  MercyMe was back and the other group was called Needtobreathe.  Before I go into talking about Needtobreathe I just want to say..

Who said God doesn't know how to ROCK!! 

I grew up in a Lutheran Church , only knowing the hymns and canters is how we sang for god.  I love to this day these songs but little did I know there was music out there that would open my eye,ears and mind to a new way of connecting to him.  

I have always been open minded to all religion and music, so when my friend took me for the first time to the Pulse Festival , I was totally blown away by all the people and the music  i got to hear that day.  I was hooked to what they call positive music.

This group hailed from South Carolina.  What is it with groups that I love so much come from South and North Carolina? I love the twangggg in their voice and the southern rock sound sets me on fire.
People started chanting for Needtobreathe to take the stage and now I know why!!!  I even LOVE the name of this group!!  The name makes me take a deep breath and pulls me in to every song they did. This group is certainly taking Christian Rock music by storm and I can't wait to buy their albums.

I did get video of them singing Reckoning but it sounds really distorted so it doesn't sound that great.  I guess they did a mix to the song near the end and them playing on the drums  had me screaming for more!!!

Javier Colons (LISTEN, LISTEN)!!

Ok! Ok! here i went to see Gavin Degraw and Colbie Caillat last night at a place i have never been too.  Not only was the venue had incredible acoustics honeywell center
but Gavin and Colbie had someone open up for them.  As soon as he started to play his guitar and sing, his voice was piercing to my soul. the emotions he brought me from his voice filling the air around me.  His name is Javier Colon and he won on the show called "The Voice"

I have yet to watch this show, since after watching 5 years of American Idol, I have been a little burnt out. 

He certainly had me captivated from the first song to the last one he did.

Gavin Degraw put on a great show himself! He was funny,told stories and loved interacting with the audience.  He went out in the crowd a few times.  He certainly had the place rocking with his songs and light show.

Colbie was cute and sweet. Her music is light hearted and upbeat. I loved her song Make it Rain.

I was able to get two videos each of them.  I hope to post them soon.
