I finally saw one of my icons in concert. James Taylor came to my area and I wasn't about to pass it up. His son Ben sounds so much like his dad and together the harmony was unbelieveable.
I took plenty of pictures and have 3 videos. I will post a picture now and come back later to post more
i saw james taylor about a decade ago, perhaps a bit more. there's a truth and honesty with him, i feel, that is seldomly reproduced. how wonderful for you to have seen him with his son. i can't imagine.
ReplyDeletejust recently one of my favorite poets (and song writers/singers), leonard cohen, his son, adam, put out a cd reminiscent of his earlier music. how haunting and aching and brilliant this all is. i've yet to get it.

Erin it was truely will be one of my favorite concerts I have ever been too. As I sat and took pictures the lady next to me leaned over and told me her husband has cancer and this was one of his dying wishes was to see James Taylor. She loved the pictures I was taking and asked if I would email her some for her husband. I sent them to her and she was so grateful. Her husband died a month later. It was nice to have done this for her before he past away.
