a gift from me to you
Today many will gather and enjoy a day of being together. Go to the table hungry and look around you for it's not the food you should be hungry for. Yes be hungry for the food but you should be hungry for the ones in your life and for those who can't be with you.

ReplyDeleteI was alone this Easter. A very strange and melancholy event. It's okay. I have come to appreciate many things more than I would have because of it!

I didn't think Easter meant much to me, since I've left the church some time ago. But being with some family and not my own children and grandson made me recognize that it is a day for family and other loved ones, as you say. Those are beautiful little blossoms in all the photos.

ReplyDeleteI don't think people have abandon God so much but more about church. I think yesterday for me was melancholy like Annie,because it was my birthday too. That is why I titled this my gift from me to you. I didn't want any gifts this year and would rather give to others. I could careless the older I get about celebrating it, but since it fell on Easter,I got happy birthday said to me and that was the high light of my day. My enjoyment yesterday was getting to see my grandkids hunt for eggs and talking with all my relatives. To me that was my gift.
Nene for me my views about God was well said in the book called "The Shack" Have you read it?
