John Denver
This is the man I had a crush on while growing up. His music is why I love listening to country. His songs took you to his world and made me long to be in the mountains. When I need to be by myself and reflect I listen to his music. I regret to this day I had a chance to see him when he came to my area but I could not afford a ticket. He died only a few months later.

Oh, I think we all had a crush on John Denver!!!! And I wanted to be Karen Carpenter. I was too soprano. Sad how these icons of ours die, and with them a part of our dreams and aspirations. And yet their songs are still with us. I think it would be wonderful to have something of yourself recorded for all time. Something good and worthy of time.
